For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.

The Spirit of wisdom and revelation serve to help us know the glorious Father better. That is, God fully intends for us to not only know about him, but to know him in a real and tangible way. It’s this movement from the head to the heart, and from our heart to our hands that is of primary significance.

I’m excited for us because 2024 is not over, and our new series Practicing the Way, will prepare us for a deeper and sustained knowing of our glorious Father, as we follow the ways and teaching of Jesus.

May God continue to bless this church as we journey through the end of 2024 and into 2025.
